Is it normal my cousin had me touch her privates when i was a kid

I was sleeping on the floor in my cousin's bedroom when she came over to me in the dark and guided my hand to her privates. Then she took me in the closet and tried to have sex with me, but I blurted out, "Are we humping?" and she got scared because it was too loud.

How old were you two? If you were close in age, I suppose it could be chalked up to harmless experimentation. However, if your cousin was many years older than you, it wouldn't be considered so innocent.

Your skanky ass cousin molested you. Someone probably molested her too, that's where she learned to be a fucked up person.

Oh yeah everyone knows all abused kids end up abusing other kids: what crap! That's just an excuse by (usually male) predators to excuse their own actions, it's not a reason for passing on the abuse.

I never said anything about excusing abuse! There are PLENTY of abuse survivors who never harm a soul. I do understand and believe that the majority of criminals were abused, but conversely most abuse survivors do not go on to abuse others. I may be a lot of thangs, but I ain't no bleeding heart. Regardless of past abuse I don't believe in leniency for abusers, but rather justice for victims. As far as I'm concerned people who perpetuate the cycle of abuse are mentally and spiritually weak.

You said the cousin had probably been abused too and that's why she's a fucked up person, implying that's the reason she abused someone else in turn. I concede it might be: I guess I over-reacted a bit because I'm sick & tired of hearing past abuse given as an excuse for continuing the cycle, as if we all don't have free will.

I totally agree with you about justice for victim/survivors as a priority over leniency for abusers.

Normal for children to explore. Btw how old was she and how old were you?. It all depends on your age at the time if it's normal or not.
