Me and my boyfriend were drinking together and went to the kitchen to get more drinks there. While we were talking, i noticed a video camera lying on the kitchen table amongst other mess. I was shocked and lifted the camera from the table for further inspection and asked if he recorded us. He quickly ripped the camera out of my hands and hid it and said no. I later found the video camera and destroyed the tape without looking at it. Was it normal that my boyfriend had recorded us without my knowledge?

      That's precisely what I'm thinking. I think OP should dump this guy, but maybe look for more tapes and destroy those too first, especially if they're naked ones that were taken without her consent.

        Don't come to my house, I deal with a lot of untrustworthy people so I have a whole PVR system hooked with hidden cameras. Do I ever tell people, fuck no. Is my place I do what I want. Is great you misplace something, where did I put it. Rewind and oh yeah I left that shit in the dining room. Even on drunk nights with a lot of people over, people lose stuff, or some one takes something by mistake or just anything happens is good to have.

          There's no justification for someone to record someone else without their consent unless they suspect some kind of dishonest behavior like lying, cheating or stealing. Recording someone else especially in an intimate context is selfish, entitled and basically inexcusable.

    Wait, you didn't watch the tape? How can you be sure that he taped you?

    If he really did - obviously, not normal in any way, shape or form.
