Is it normal it irritates me when people want to tell me an actor is gay?

I really hate when people do this. I don't understand why people have to base everything on one single characteristic. I mean no one ever talks about will smith and people chime in "You know hes black"?

Yes I know hes black! I don't really care what race he is! I was talking about the movie he was in. Why is it every-time you talk about a character played by a gay celebrity people have to ruin the discussion by saying "Hes gay". Why is that all people ever notice?

It's just one of those trivial things that people feel they have insightful pop culture knowledge by informing you.

I agree. I find it annoying and unnecessary. They are more than being gay. That aspect shouldn't have to define them with a continuous labelling. You don't see them referring to a straight actor as straight, do you.

I get mad when I find out a really cute, non fruity actor is gay. Like the guy from White Collar, I mean what a waste! I know it sounds mean, Im not anti-gay but for some reason it annoys me when a cute 'manly" guy is gay rather than an eccentric or a feminine guy.

People say Harry Potter's Dumbeldore is gay, is it true? Sorry, I'm doing it, aren't I?

It's so obvious, there really isn't any need to publicize it. I agree, it just spoils the awesome fantasy you have about that character. Although, maybe it brings you back to reality, and you'd rather just enjoy the acting...
