Is it normal instant like/dislike?

Once in a while I meet people and I get very strong feelings, either that this is a person I connect to, or this is a person I cant stand. It happens within the first 30 seconds, sometimes even before they speak. This is only about 15% of the people I meet, the rest are neutral until I get to know them. Its nothing sexual necessarily as it can be with either sex. When its a good feeling, its like we could be great friends and understand some shared secret. When its bad its either outright loathing(I hate everything about them, their mannerisms, they way they talk to me, ect) Once I interacted with a man for only a minute and the hairs on my arms literally stood up, he didn't look weird or anything but he gave off warning signs like he could be a serial killer.
Am I nuts? Does this happen to you guys?

I thing is how most people are.

Those are just your instincts, built from past experiences, chemistry, intangible vibes we get from one another.

That being said, those initial feelings don't always hold true. Some people have many layers beneath the one they project on the exterior. Someone is initially kind of blah, or you even dislike or like, after unraveling more of their personality beneath their persona.

You can find that person has a hidden quality about them that you never knew that makes it even cooler, or has quite the opposite effect.

It's very natural and I like to call it aura reading. It's perfectly legit from a scientific view but because it happens in your subconciousness it has magical feeling sometimes. The more inteligent/experienced you are the more your predictions about a person may turn out to be true. It doesn't have to mean that someone is a bad person if you get a bad feeling, they might just not be your type. You also don't have to hear the person's voice or if you hear it, you don't always need their face to get the idea of what they're like.
