It's normal but I don't think it should be. You should be honest with yourself and not hide how you are of course you don't have to out right run around and tell everyone either just be you and do what feels right for you. Being gay isn't a bad thing as some people like to think and you're not gonna want to jump every boy you come across :) it would be the same as if you were straight you don't want to screw every single girl you meet.

Don't be ashamed with it, it's fine to be homosexual. Unless you live around a bunch of retardicans I'd say you should come out about it.

its common, maybe try "coming out" to some close family or friends? see how it feels?

And you shouldn't be too scared talking with guys. Most are oblivious to other people being gay unless they're told specifically.

Most importantly, try and be yourself. I don't know what country/state/island you're from, so I can't tell you how people around you may react but trying to hide who you are from the world can be painful and damaging, and not just to yourself.

Of course you can love girls, it's someone for everyone, but I just think you curious and attracted to the same sex. I'm bisexual and I only watch girl or lesbian porn. Keep your head up Love!

Just learn to be yourself and not the values that you have been force fed all your life. Don't let others judge or pity you, you don't need us to tell you what to do. Just look inside yourself, find out exactly who you are, and be that person. Living a lie is not good for anyone, and god dislikes liars most of all.

It really depends on where you live. In most of the developed world just come out as being gay. The chances are you'll find that no one really minds. I've been through this sort of thing and you always make it out to be a really big problem in your head, but when you tell people. It's no big deal for them; it doesn't change their opinion of you. You'll feel happier because you won't have to keep pretending.

However there are some parts of the US where coming out would be a bad idea on account of the stigma. Other than that, go for it.

Lying about your sexual nature hurts you and the people around you. You don't have to reveal anything you don't feel comfortable with anyone, but lying and pretending will destroy you.

Actually, if he's outwardly pretending to be gay, he's not only lying to himself...

Why have people downvoted this? Queer is a fairly commonly used term and is no longer derogatory.

It's not derogatory when used by people who identify as queer. It IS derogatory if you apply it to other people, especially if you're not queer yourself.

Not sure about that. I'm sure there are situations where it could be derogatory, but if someone referred to me as queer, I wouldn't be offended regardless of the other person's sexual orientation.

I should've said "it CAN BE derogatory". I think it might vary according to who and where you are. Where I live, it's definitely still used as a slur. People have reclaimed it to an extent, but it's still used in a malicious and threatening way. Also, it seems like "queer" as a noun is generally more likely to be used as a slur than "queer" as an adjective.

It seems unlikely to me that somebody would say "you're a queer" in response to a post like this if they didn't mean it in a derogatory way. The OP wasn't asking if they're gay or not, so why else would they say that?
