Is it normal ignoring girlfriend's texts because she ignored my sext

My girlfriend and I have been dating for almost 8 months. Some times, we don't see eye to eye, but otherwise we get along great. Because of a combination of holiday and monthly circumstances we haven't been able to have sex in almost two weeks. So, today was the day when I knew we both finally had the free time. I sexted her. I didn't try being clever or suave, I just told her what I wanted. She didn't respond for almost an hour and when she did, immediately tried changing the subject. Now I'm ignoring her because I feel like she intentionally avoided reciprocating my invitation.
