Is it normal if my mother touched my vagina in the past (for medical reasons)?

So there was this one time when I was around 10-12 years old and something happened to my vagina (I think it was itchy or something) and I was prescribed by my doctor this medicine to apply in that area every day. My mother was worried I would not be able to apply it properly so she would do it for me. Every time it happened I felt kinda weird and embarrassed.

    In my opinion, the first time she did it, she should’ve been teaching you how to do it. After that, she should’ve left you alone, maybe supervised you once but not touch. It’s weird to do that to a pre-teen, it isn’t that hard to apply ointment.

    Normal: Medical treatment is not sexual in any way. Nurses & Dr's deal with this all the time.

    It may have felt weird to you. But, that's OK.

    While I agree that it may have been best if she had worked to teach you how to do it; there may have been a limited amount of the cream - and no real ability to get more of it (some prescription creams are expensive and their are rules the limit refills).

    It’s weird. At that age I would have absolutely insisted on doing it myself and in private and my mum would have respected my privacy. Unless you have some sort of developmental disability or were just really childish at that age then it was definitely not normal.
