Is it normal if i want a job particularly to make my coworkers as my friends?

I think it looks so cool when co workers are also friends and sometimes best friends. I think that really helps a person get through the day whether its a basic job or you're already in your career field. Not only does it help, but its also so much fun. To be honest, it is really important for me to land a job where my coworkers are my friends. I could be working at a great company but not get along with no one in my work as much and feel unhappy. I kind of want to see how it would feel to work somewhere I don't like but my coworkers are the best. Will that make me stay a little longer or not? I also feel like if I land a job in my chosen career field and make friends with my coworkers, they will probably become my best friends over my current best friends because they are not really into what I'm into. So I think it doesn't get better than knowing we're all into the same thing and get along. Sometimes, workplaces have a circle of friends which is why when I search for a job, one of the most important things for me to have are coworkers i will for sure get along with.

This seems to me, to be an unrealistic expectation. How would you go about finding co-workers you are sure to be friends with? I think getting along with people is essential for better productivity in the workplace but there's just some people who won't be compatible. I also don't think that quality friends has anything to do with having the same occupation as you. Focusing on your job and the friends you have now is a good idea, but hey if you can find work that fulfills your expectations, then good for you...

Why do you think, in classrooms, when told to find a group, kids automatically grab their closest friends? Who wouldn't want to have best friends for co-workers? I mean, you are gaining money, doing what you enjoy and you get to have your best friends to make your day even more awesome.

What you need to take into account is that, at the end of the day, friends distract us. I don't care if you say that you will be professional, friends are friends and will always want to "play". Unless your job does not require you to "behave", then it wouldn't last anyway.

The chances of getting along with every single person you work with are slim but i do agree that it would be awesome.
