Is it normal if i plan to ask out the guy i've been talking to?

He makes me happy and secure and there's no one else I wanna be with. It feels so sure, like I don't even want to bother meeting someone else or anything. As for him, he has a really likable character so I have gone through some jealousy here and there but he always came back to me. But when it comes to being serious or expressing himself, he's really good at beating around the bush. He has his own way of saying/doing things and it has made an impact in our relation. However, I honestly feel like I'm the one who feels stronger. So how do guys feel getting asked to marry their girl? Or getting asked out? I just feel like I have the power to do so, why wait for him? and what if we both feel like making our relationship more official but I'm the one to usually make the move? I love him so much and I would like to ask him out. And even in the future, I feel like I would ask him to marry him. Who knows, maybe the guy is really unsure of when/how to ask so leave it to her. I look at it as he'll appreciate it so much and think it's special cause its always the guy to make the first move well, leave it to the girl for once. If I feel like being his gf or marrying him just like how the guy feels when he wants to ask her out/marry her, well why wait around for him to make the move? Aside from it being "tradition," why not?
