Is it normal if i overdue everything?

I tend to overdue everything especially with food and drinks. That being said, I can't control how much I drink alcohol, not because I'm an alcoholic but because thats how I am with everything. When I eat, I have like almost three plates. I can't have enough. I know it's bad and I want to control myself more but not sure what its going to take for me to learn. It's just a really bad habit of mine. Good thing I'm not fat and I like to work out and good thing I'm pretty "health conscious" that I dont go out and drink a lot but when I do go out and drink, I can't stop and it ends up all bad. Is there like some sort of term for this? where you can't control your intake? also with coffee. I love coffee and can have a couple of cups a day. And even with other things...if i find a new hobby I wanna do it all the time and I go through a stage where thats all Im doing. What can I do about it?

It's not normal to eat 3 plates. Your plate bill per month must be huge.

    • Good thing I was referring to eating at home. When I'm out, they usually already serve you big portions so I'm content with one.

I found your post confusing, not only the heading (you obviously mean OVERDO, overdue is when something is late) but also your statement that you aren't alcoholic but you can't control how much you drink and that when you drink you can't stop: not a bad definition of an alcoholic.

You love coffee but only have a couple of cups a day: what's your point?

Anyway, you do sound compulsive and if you really want to do something about it you'd need professional therapy.

    • Yeah I noticed I messed up with the spelling.

You should only be having like 2-3 cups of coffee a day, three is already overdoing it but I can have like a few lattes and I know its bad.

In terms of the "alcoholic" thats exactly why I stated that first because I know people would jump to conclusions that I am because of the negative connotation the term has. So it would be nice if people are more open minded and not just think "yep she's one." Like I said I overdo EVERYTHING and that includes alcohol. I have a problem with portion control. If I were one, I'd have a bottle with me all the time or be going out for drinks all the time, I only drink every other month, occasionally and when I do, I can't control how much just like I can't control how much coffee I have or how much food I have. If Im having chips, I'll end up eating half the bag. So no I'm not an "alcoholic."

It sounds as if you're binge drinking and that can be one type of alcoholism, which has nothing to do with how often you drink but HOW you drink and your drinking is, as you say yourself out of control.

It's okay as long as you're not fat

Overdo not overdue! I was expecting your post to be about late payment for stuff.
