I'm 23 but people around my age or younger are pretty annoying. It's the justin bieber generation and I don't fit in and I feel good about that...lol. When I went to college, I had no idea that people who I would watch on tv or just hear about actually existed. I was like I thought they were just a joke. The things that they are into are absolutely nonsense such as the whole "yolo" thing, people take that really seriously like shut up and just keep on moving. OR this whole "be weird and you" crap...like the actual weirdos you guys never accepted so stop being a hypocrite and retarded. Gah it just urks me cause unfortunately the majority are like that and "majority rules." Its like the smaller version of the media. And thats why they think its okay. I hang out with a lot of older people and my sense of humor and taste are more relate-able to theirs. But I'm glad Im 23 and feel like a baby next to my friends.

    Wow, "the whole "yolo" thing, people take that really seriously"? So you figure you get several tries at life? If you are a boring puke and don't do a damn thing in this life, that's OK because YOU get a do-over?
    Are you out of your mind?
    If there's one thing I've learned in 68 years, it's that you'd better get it all done in this one, guarantied life because there is no guaranty of any other. YOLO is not the worst motto to have in this life.

        Interestingly, over the last two years we've been seeing boats named YOLO more and more often. At one point, there were three anchored in a bay, and none knew the others. It's kinda pedestrian when there's no originality in your boat name, so to see three with the same name in an anchorage was pretty depressing. Not to take away from a pretty good motto, if one must have a one.

      I think you're too old (sorry) to understand what I'm trying to say in terms of kids taking "yolo" too seriously. It's not about "you only have one life so make something of it." That's a great motto to motivate yourself and go for your dreams or reach your potential. What I'm saying is they don't think twice about what they're about to do and don't make the right choices in the moment. Its clearer if you live the experience. So I think its harder for an outsider out of my age group or around my age group to understand no matter how much you try to understand it.

        I'm too old to understand? Really, that crap again? What? Did I spring into this world at 50, a clone, never to have experienced youth or all that you have; fiddlesticks.
        You are the one who doesn't understand and I have little doubt that when you are on your death bed, there will be a whole shit pot of things you will regret not having done when you had the chance.
        Those that you are looking down on for "choices in the moment" are those who will have LIVED their lives, NOT gone through life swaddled in cotton for protection FROM life.

          Nope, you still don't understand. You're jumping to conclusions. You think I am not "living" and being "boring"...no and no. My post is about the obnoxious and thoughtless actions people my age do.
          Plus I know you went through your own youth experiences but every generation is different. So unless you somehow lived MY generation and age group experiences, there's no way you can understand where I am coming from. These are specific details/experiences that I guess only my age group understands.

      Yeah I did hang out with my older sister's friends and my older brother's friends then in college, most of the friends I made were 25 and up. Sometimes I forget I'm only 23, I'm a baby.
