Is it normal if i don't like him but i do love him?

I think if you've been in love, you know that bursting feeling in your heart and you can't help but feel alive when he or she calls you or text you and you hear their name or see their name. Nothing and no one comes in comparison to them. You can be talking to someone who's nice, funny, cute, polite, etc but doesn't give you that bursting feeling. And that bursting feeling will always win because you feel something real as opposed to something you think you should like and love. No matter if that person youre in love with sucks as a person or sucks at how they treat you or just isn't cooperating, that bursting feeling wins. It makes you want to fight for it, it makes you do foolish things, but good thigs too becaise it makes you vulnerable by swallowing your pride and not care how you look cause you know its worth that exciting burst in your heart. You like feeling that. If that person you're seeing doesn't make you want to sacrifice some things for them, then you're not in love with them.
I feel like I'm in love with my dude but I don't like him right now. When we met, it was chemistry right away. We just fit in each others puzzles. But if that chemistry didn't exist, I look at him as a person and the way he is in terms of not wanting to communicate, not liking conversations, kind of immature at times, selfish, not that emotional or affectionate, hard headed, closed off, etc, just turns me off and I wish I can say "I don't like you so I'm done here" but that burst doesn't let me. I do like him because he has goals, he's smart, he shares the same sense of humor, he's handsome and cute at the same time, he's a family person, he's perfect for me. But his bad traits do take over sometimes and I'm just ew you suck and I don't like you as a person but I am in love with you and I love you cause I wanna tale care of you. I feel like we belong together which is why I'm still here.
