Is it normal i went to mcdonald's and they wouldn't let me order a small?

A while ago I went through the drive thru of a McDonald's and ordered the Chicken Selects meal. They asked me, "Medium or large?" and I said, "Small." After I picked up my food I noticed they had given me a medium drink and medium fries and charged me as such. Are some things on the menu not small sizeable?? 0.o I know they carry small cups and fry pouches!

    It's because most of the people who go to McDonald's do not understand what the word small means so they had to take it of all the menus.

      Auctully certein meals only come in mediem and large since they are suppose to be bigger meals for big hunger. I know this becuase I go to mcdonilds and I was told that. Its the meal you pick so pick a diffrent meal. I sometime order a meal thats meant to be big and they onl ut sell it in large or mediem its kind of like ordering a speciel.

    I don't know what country you live in, but complain. Although, ironically, when you complain to a company, they usually give you free food vouchers to something to keep you appeased. In your case, this would mean your small, which became a medium, has now become a multi-supersize.

    I think certain items only come with medium or large. The McDonald's I go to has no small options. They only ask for a medium or large. It wouldn't make a difference what size it is: at the end of the day, it's empty calories, a crapload of fat, and more salt than a person needs.

    The sizing might be different for the Chicken Selects meal. I have not been to a McDonalds in a while so I don't know but next time check their sizing units. If you ordered a meal combo deal then that meal may not be available in small as they charge you for the whole unit, not the individual parts. If the sizing units are no different than other meals then make note of that so in the future you will be able to take it back because your order could have been a mistake on the employee's part and it's not good practice to charge a customer for extras that they did not want.

    People who work at McDonald's are their own species. They do not know the meaning of the word 'small'. When they are young, they are taught 'greasy fried fake food served in gargantuan portions'. Therefore, when you go to McDonald's and order a small order of fries and not a Big Mac with a large fry and large soda, the cashier will look at you like you are speaking Chinese.

    I know right, lol. But they are pretty good. A lot of people just hate on Mcdonald's. Who knows what's in their food. It's not supposed to be eaten everyday, so I think getting it once in a while isn't too bad.

    I recently got chicken selects as well and had the same thing happen to me. I guess because they come in either a five count or ten (?) Count so, that's not considered small. You could have ordered just the selects and then separately ordered a small fry and a drink.

    Omg, I sound like a freaking expert or something. What. The fuck.

      lol. Ten count?? o.0 They come in a 3 and 5 count here. You'd have to be a real fatty to get 10 of those things hahaha.

    I know they don't offer small fries and drinks in meals unless you get a happy meal in New Zealand. Perhaps it's the same thing?
