Is it normal i wasn't allowed in the club??

I'm of age, I'm actually older than 21 (the legal age allowed in the club I went to) as I'm 25.

So I am fully prepared. I am dressed up in my dress/cute outfit/makeup/heels, ready to go. My friends are inside, I have to meet them. I text them that I'm coming in. I take a taxi and get there. There's a guy IDing at the door, no problem. I have my ID with me. I get up to him, hand it to him and he looks at me and laughs. He tells me to go back home and cut up the fake ID before he calls the cops. But my ID is real, with my real birthdate. So I think maybe he's kind of joking so then I laugh, he says "what? do you think I'm an idiot?" So now I realize he's not joking, he's 100% convinced there's no way the birthdate on there is real, he thinks I'm under 21.

So I say "I'm 25 years old, what's the problem?" He kept laughing at me and just said, "if you want a problem, I'll give you a problem. Leave and don't come back, you're underage and you know it. You're what, 16? Your ID makes you 25, you could have at least made yourself 21 as that's more believable than 25. There's no way you're 25 blah blah, you're pretty stupid." So I responded with, "I'm NOT 16, I'm in my twenties" and then he said, "okay so how old are you then 20? you're still underage. I don't need this crap" and then he WALKED AWAY INSIDE THE CLUB. I waited outside for 15 minutes, text'd my friends but once you leave, you can't go back in so they just kept telling me to show him any other proof. I had no more proof so I didn't know what to do so I just went home. :(

IIN? One of my friends who got in is actually just 21 as of a week ago and he let her in!! I felt like going to the owner. I tried to call the place up but there was just info/no one to talk to.
