You can change without abandoning your life. I went through this myself. I was shy and awkward with abusive friends. Everyone seemed to walk over me. Then, one morning, I decided I was done with it. I immediately texted my friends and told them off before cutting them out and completely changed my demeanor.
Two years later and I'm confident, outspoken, and most people wouldn't dare to outright disrespect me. That initiative lead me to be at the top of my class, and now I'm halfway to a medical degree! Your life is truly yours. Don't like your friends? Tell them why and find new ones. Don't like yourself? Get a makeover and act however you want to. You have that power.
Nothing wrong with a reset. I encourage it, and did so myself some time ago. Not the moving aspect, but, much of the rest. People around me, activities, what I spent money on, etc. My former group of friends were very clique-ee and, while nice people, chatterboxes who loved other people's drama. Also included the textbook, middle-aged playboy who tried getting with the 22 year olds. Lot of them drank too much as well.
I slowly made my exit from them, but did. Now, I have more time to do what I want instead of feeling obliged to go with the group flow. Keep yourself happy first.
also i cannot leave my family. i am fairly certain that they are the only family members i will ever have. i love them tooo much to leave them
maybe. it depends on your connections in the world you already have. i have wanted to do this, to make a new name for myself, and be in a world with no preconceived notions of me, but even when i kind of got the chance like college and a new job it works for a while and then i just get nervous.
Depends on what you're trying to get away from and how you plan to have a new life. I tried it myself and it did not work out well for me.
Sounds pretty normal to me... but the times I personally felt like doing it it was just a reflection of a deep dissatisfaction with myself rather than with my life as it was. If for you it's not a way of running away from everything you've been and done then chances are you'll be fine. Otherwise, work out the underlying reasons for wanting a complete reset before actually doing it. Just sayin'...
well make sure ur family and friends don't mind, they may probably miss you and make sure to keep in touch with them
