Is it normal i want to punch my roomate in the face for being such a downer?

It was my first day of Uni and I was meeting my three roomates. There was a bubbly american girl, a cat loving greek girl, and then the suject of this post. She was wearing nothing but dark clothing, and only grunted at me when I said hello. I ignored her, and was getting to know the other two when she overheard me say my mother was a pagan. (Pagans used to be a religion that used spells and thought they were witches. Now they are mostly like my mother, a kind of hippie who thinks we should be nicer to nature.) She suddenly jumped at me and started going on and on about how she was a SATANIST and how it was the SAME THING. (it's fucking not.) Now she keeps being all gothic and won't leave me the fuck alone. She keeps asking me for spells and shit. I have to live with her for the next year, so I don't need her hating me and being a bitch but I just want to punch her in the face and tell her to get over it. I'm not a fucking satanist,and I don't fucking want to be.

    Just like she doesn't understand what a pagan is, I don't think you have any idea whats a real satanist is. Its not those dumb teenagers who go around sacrificing cats, they don't pray to satan. I'm not a satanist myself, I don't follow any cult, I read many books and take ideas that I think are wise, one of the books I read was Lavey's bible, you should read it to understand what is it all about before jumping into judgement.

    She sounds like a wannabe poser. No pagan is not the same as satanism. I think pagan is more of a blanket term and could cover a number of different religions. Some people consider satanism a pagan religion. That does not mean all people following a pagan religion worship Satan. A lot of old dead religions are considered pagan. If I was you I would punch her in the face just to shut her up. Shes sounds irritating. What your roommate is saying is like saying anyone who follows religion must be a christian. When there is other religions besides Christianity.
