Is it normal i want to be an assistant but cant find customers?

I took the recommendation to try craigslist but that did not work out. I dont know what site to put myself on to do freelance. No real company is going to hire me. I know people like nannys and butlers will be hired as personal assistants by family's. I put up an add to be a personal assistant on craigslist. It turned out that they were all scams and I sure the 3rd guy was was a sugar daddy. So what should I do? Is there some kind of procedure to becoming freelance? I do have qualifications and certificates but no matter how many apps I put in even at places like mcdonolds none of them call back for an interview and I put in 100s of apps. I dont really qualify for any assistance or federal assistance programs. I been out of work for awhile and I did try signing up for summer jobs where they let you live and work at the locations but I have not heard back from them either.

    I doubt you are going to find a short cut to those kinds of jobs. You are going to have to spend anywhere from 5 to 10 YEARS working in the field for other people before you can build a professional customer base. You are going to have to do a lot of cleaning up of other people's shit to get what you want in that field.
    What makes you think you can just become a personal assistant, with no experience, references and experience?

      Since some assistants are basically just an errand boy who you make do tasks like pick up coffee, pick up grocery's, write papers, organize files, babysit kids. I have a business certificate ROP for small business and I type over 50 words a minute and know how to use most office programs like PowerPoint, Excel, so on. I would gladly work for someone but for whatever reason I cant find anyone to hire me. I been told I am very employable by job counselors too. I dont know why nothing is working. running errands isnt something you have to know rocket science to do. Its just simple tasks that someone could not be bothered with.
