Is it normal i want a diabetic foot scented candle

It’s to help spread awareness of nerve damage caused by diabetes. It will be brown around the wick, red until you reach the center, and white along the edge - like an ulcer!

Can't you think about wanting to bring awareness other than making an ulcer candle? No one will want that

I'd rather sniff a candle that actually smells like chocolate chip cookies.

    • Chocolate is sweet, but so is Diabetic blood during Hypersomlar Hyperglycenic State.

You mean like fresh out of the oven, like right that very moment?

Yeah, but I doubt that kind of candle could exist. I just love cookies!

You know most people like candles smelling of peppermint or cookies or whatever was the candle from 21 pilots stressed out.

Interesting idea. I was imagining a candle shaped like a puffy diabetic foot with pooling blood.

    • You see, I think I would sell. It helps raise awareness and perhaps will remind people with type-2 to care for themselves.

That sounds about as effective as the photos of gangrenous feet, tar filled lungs and rotting eyeballs we have on our cigarette packets.

I never understood those. I'm an ex smoker and I absolutely hate smoking now (not the smokers themselves, respect their right to do so, just the smell of it and the health implications) and I think it would be great if less people smoked. But I don't see how those stupid little pictures help anything? Especially the ones of the diseased organs. Like... Organs already look really gross even when healthy. Do most non medical people know what a healthy organ looks like if it's been ripped out of someone's body and thrown onto a table for a photoshoot? I doubt it. It's like showing people pictures of slugs and telling them they they should be worried because the slugs in the pictures have some disease that makes them slimey.

The whole campaign needs a rethink to be honest.

Puts me off, but I'm not a smoker and have never been inclined to.

My mother is generally more squeamish than me, but she doesn't seem affected by it.

I think the whole thing is dumb.
