Is it normal i wanna die young?

Is it normal that I want to die young?
I like using drugs (in a responsible manner), smoking cigarettes, drinking beer, partying.. but it's because I don't want to live to be an 80-something-year old sick guy whose only purpose in life is to try and avoid constant pain. I'd rather die as a 30-40 year old relaxed guy who's lived his life to the very fullest and without being afraid of enjoying it.

What do you think about this?

The problem with this is you'll never know where you'll be at when you're say; 38. You might just meet an amazing woman then or stumble into some fortune but your ill health and impending death will catch up with you and you'll regret not taking better care of yourself when you were younger. Besides, you ought do that stuff in moderation or it can lead to addiction and dependency plus manic depression and psychosis.

haha yes well I liked to party but I wound up with an addiction which turned very anti social.
I have some health issues, I get anxiety, paranoia and depression. I know the damage I have done and my life is now about rejuvenation and repair.

I'm a 68 year old guy "who's lived his life to the very fullest and without being afraid of enjoying it." I'd sure have missed a whole shit pot of this very full and enjoyable life, if I'd checked out at 40ish, don't you think?

    • Could it be possible that we don't enjoy the exact same things?
You enjoy.. (well I'm not going to make assumptions), while I enjoy doing drugs (in moderation), partying, drinking, and such.
It probably is as weird to you as the fact that you enjoy different things is to me. :)

At your age, I certainly enjoyed all those things and more. But we all gotta grow up kid, and tastes change and responsibilities grow. You'll see.
It doesn't matter a bit what I enjoy or what you enjoy; don't you do what you enjoy? So 30 less years of enjoying whatever, well that's just stupid, don't you think?
But finally, I don't give a flying fuck when you check out, however I was hoping to show others how silly your post is.

        • I know what I like will probably change, as I have noticed that happening in recent years as well.
Idk, perhaps it's some form of depression or something, but this is how I feel and that's why I posted this question.
I don't think there are stupid questions, but who knows.

Silly, not stupid. At you age, 40 probably won't even be half of a normal healthy life.

And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.

    Wait for it.....

I'm all for having fun, living on the edge a bit and enjoying life. But too much of the unhealthy stuff and you'll just be a 40 year old sick guy who's only purpose is to avoid constant pain.

    • After living a great life? Compared to being an 80 year old sick guy whose only purpose is to avoid constant pain, and who's never lived on the edge/enjoyed life to the fullest?

      Any day.
