Is it normal i throw my friends socks in the trash?

I have a few friends who will come over and leave their socks here. Some of them are quite unhygienic and I got sick of seeing their socks lying around so I made a rule.

If you leave your fucking socks here I will throw them in the trash.

I have tossed several socks in the garbage since the rule and I do warn them about it.

      They take them off and leave without them. People leave all kinds of crap at my house. If it smells it goes in the trash.

      The last guy that left his socks here was a former roommate who would piss in cups in his room because he didn't want to get up. Other roommates he's had have complained about this too and he leaves them around his room for days. The guy he lives with now does it too so he doesn't mind.

    I'm surprised this post doesn’t have a 100% normal rating. Socks are cheap and if your friends are lazy enough to leave them laying around your house they shouldn't expect you to keep them. You're not their maid.

    Maybe you could put a cardboard box outside of your door, label it "lost and found? ...if they're really upset about you throwing their socks out.
