Is it normal that I feel that 95%+ of "attractive" females look unattractive when wearing nearly any "formal" type of attire (fancy dresses and the such, usually at proms etc)?

    I think they look attractive in whatever attire they're in, but I can understand where you're coming from.

    I personally hate prom type dresses and they can look awful on certain girls.
