Is it normal i think texting is an indication that you're valuable to someone?

I personally think that no matter what someone proclaims to feel, if they don't often flick a simple text to see how you are, then they most likely don't care. I don't believe in the B.S "I've been too busy" either. If you're important enough, then of course one would be interested enough to text right ? I know some best mates talk on a daily basis ...:/

No your theory is wrong 9

I think your putting to much thought into this maybe they don't feel the same way about texting as you do.

i think there's truth to that because my gfs have gone years at a time without 1 text.

Too busy is probably a bullshit excuse but I don't think it necessarily means they don't care at all. Maybe they just forgot or didn't have anything to say but the truth sounds kinda bad on them so they say they were busy. Some people just don't like texting or they don't want to end up involved in a text conversation. Or, yeah, some don't care that much.

OMG! No one has EVER texted me. EVER! Does that mean that I have no value as a human being? OMG! I never realized that texting was so important. Have you told everybody about this? EVERYBODY?
Should I enable texting on my phone so that I too can become a 'valuable' human being?

That's exactly what it means, yes.

& no, don't enable texting. At the moment you can blame your lack of texts on that. If you enable it there'll be no excuses : (

    • If you see it from my perspective, I have a very rational point of thinking! Couples text every day almost! What does that tell you

Texting is a pretty easy, convenient and noncommittal way to "reach out and touch someone", and basically let them know you care. Oh man, that reminds me, I need to return some texts.

Its true for some people but not for me. I am bad at initiating text chats even if its just a hi but I still care.

Are you one of those foolish teenage children who cuts their wrists and drinks bleach if their friend doesn't respond to them on Facebook?

    You seem that way.
