Is it normal i think some people are too sensitive?

There are people who think "trigger warnings" should be put up for things like "food" or "attractive people" because people with eating disorders or self-image problems will get triggered (along similar lines of people who are triggered by discussions/images of rape or traumatic experiences). Is it normal I think it's a stretch to put "trigger warnings" for dumb shit that most people are fine with?

I don’t think anything should have a trigger warning, at they end of the day it’s just an image or a video and if that causes you to get ‘triggered’ then have you really have no place being on the internet or even in a society where everything will just upset you.

No it's not. You never know why a certain person might be sensitive to a certain something and what it might trigger in them.
This doesn't in any way effect you. You can ignore such warnings if they aren't of importance to you like other normal people do. Learn some empathy.

    • i get what you're saying but monte's reply kind of sums up the point-- if people can be triggered by *anything* where do we draw the line?

Have you considered that your critical reply may "trigger" a negative emotional response in the OP? Where is your empathy?

How I perceive this is its normal, because some people are sensitive when you say things and obviously you're expecting a reaction.
