Is it normal i think i'm going to be arrested for this? maybe is it real?

I need help, seriously, I was on this website, a porn website, Xnxx. Basically, I was looking at my typical amateur porn on a streaming website. And I watched this one video of some married couple I think doing it. And I got a popup (without realizing it) you know those auto-popups in a separate page? Like 888 casino or whatever, I had one that popped up saying I was watching child pornography? And it has loads of blue pictures of the world and it says my files have now been encrypted, I'm 100% certain that I haven't watched child porn, I've never downloaded it or even seen it ever. I'm just a typical single straight guy watching normal porn. Am I in trouble or something, I didn't see anything or want to see anything? I live in the UK, if I go to jail for this even though I'm not at fault really? Am I in trouble, or was this whole thing some virus playing tricks on me? I did get an AVG blocked threat popup. Should I be concerned?! :O

For the love of God help! I'd have no problem going to jail for a crime I knowingly and purposefully commit, like tax evasion, fraud, theft etc. That's fair enough, but can I really go to jail for a website perhaps failing to regulate its content and getting a popup like that?

I reckon I'm going to prison!!!! :'(
Its not my fault loads of people watch porn!

It sounds like a virus. You should calm down, you'll be fine. Also, visit safer porn sites. AVG isn't a miracle worker.

I've had these on many occasion. They don't do anything except try and get you to hand over money by scaring you. Just press alt/ctrl/del to open program manager and close your browser (Firefox in my case) Open your browser again and it will lock your browser again, so repeat alt/ctrl/del and close your browser again.
When you open it again your browser will open again but will offer you a choice of windows you wish to open or start a fresh session. Choose the fresh start option and away you go. There's no virus that I've ever found.
Just avoid the web page that caused the browser to lock up.

I had a problem similar to this. The only website my computer would go to was the site to pay to remove the virus. I had to start computer in safe mode, install malwarebytes, and scan it in safe mode. That killed the virus. it wasn't actually a virus, it was malware that masqueraded as part of the windows operating system, that's why the safe mode scan.

  • What you speak of is almost certainly a scam of some kind.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I could be), but looking at CP technically isn't illegal; downloading it is. If the law were to round up EVERYONE who pursues such material, they'd have their hands quite full, and they know that.

Sounds like a random pop-up that just wants to mess with you.

What did you mean by "blue pictures of the world"?

They wouldn't actually notify you in 3 seconds via the internet pop up that they caught you lols. Relax.

Its a virus. I know someone that that happened to. It actually popped up with an FBI warning and even found an actual FBI number on it. But it had an option to pay a hefty fine, or have agents knock on your door. The poor guy was horrible with conputers so I looked at it, searched the web for scams like that, and found many like that. I had to end up reformatting his hard drive for him.

Next time, get some Adblocking software to block the pop ups.

It was a scam. If you had of clicked it would have probably tried to scare you into paying an imaginary fine and giving out personal information. I love xnxx but they do have a lot of those stupid pop ups. I only go there on my phone nowadays.

2.This married couple was in fact children 3.Someone hacked your computer.
