Is it normal i think conformists are self righteous

I think a lot of people who conform to anything blindly, government, corporations, school, religion, or their culture are highly self righteous. They seem like they think just cause they do as they are expected to and obey blindly, that they are better than everyone else.

Self-righteousness is everywhere. You don't see it in those who scream out about how much they're NOT conforming to society's norms?

If you conform to non conformity... you're still conforming to something. ;P

I always choose what I want to do, and I never conform to anything I don't want to do anyway.

  • People will always conform to something. Even you are asking others to conform to your beliefs by putting this out there.

It is unavoidable. It is...your destiny.

You conform to the questioners and skeptics blindly, doubting everything before you have ever given it a chance. There is also safety in a herd. I was just like you at one point questioning everything which people followed, but when you get a job, if you don't conform to your surroundings you probably won't have a job for very long. Conformance makes people who believe in the same things more familiar and comfortable with you and opens up many pathways in life.

If you're always on the outside, it's harder to get people to understand you, and in the terms of career that means fewer promotions and raises. Now I know you're just going to say I'm money driven, but if you can get yourself to money to invest and retire early you can gain complete freedom from organizations at an early age rather than slaving until you're 62 and living off a meager pension and social security. I know I'm smarter than the rest and so are you, but I'm done being penalized for it. Fit in, advance, invest on your own terms, become wealthy, then you can be truly free to live your life on your terms. When you're no longer a slave to money and bills is when you become truly free.

not really, if they conform to anything
this can only mean that they have no standars or a level of actualization for their lives. they live a plain and dull life with no expectations. these are the people that never grow in any aspect of their life.

Well we all conform in our lives. But I agree that it's stupid to conform on something like religion etc...
