Is it normal i think children services is used for the wrong reasons too much?

I probably am being clueless and I get they need to protect children from awful situations. But it just cheeses me off that petty people who don't like so and so or are mad at their ex or are mad at so and so didn't like their side dish at the community potluck. So they call cops on them and lie and get the kid put in a REALLY bad situation. Happened to a few friends of mine and it just about broke my heart.

    What I am trying to say is it bothers me that some people use child services not because the child is in any danger of any kind. But because they are bored have a petty issue with the parents. Like so and so didn't say hi to me at the supermarket.So and so doesn't dress or do what I do so she is a bad mother. Or they got divorced and they really want to hurt the other parent by making stuff up.

    Child services are not interested in the adult. They can muck up or do well, or do nothing; it is irrelevant. As long as the child is safe; fed; housed; loved; educated; and their health needs are taken care of. The parents could be base jumpers who fly to Africa every couple of weeks, but the child must be cared for.

    By the way the intention is to provide all the needed requirements for that child. They are NOT putting them in a REALLY bad situation!
