Is it normal i think abusive psycho/sociopaths are just jerks?

Now not all socio/psychopaths become killers. However some do. They do not have the same rationality as most people. Its said they do not learn from mistakes, accept responsibility for anything, and will go against authority for the sake of going against it. I have talked to people who have these signs and their logic are just so fucked up. I kind of think that maybe they are just assholes. I dont have any sympathy for someone who has 0 consideration for other peoples feelings or personal rights.
