My best friend and I are really close. One day we got to the word love. But we always said "as a friend" afterwards. Is that normal? I'm a guy

It would sound more couth if You said "Love Ya Bro!" adding the "I" in the beginning implies more of a more intimate effect.
Yeah, that's normal. I've heard " I love you man" all the time between men. It's healthy and normal.
It makes me wonder how comfortable you two are with each other for even needing to specify "as a friend".
