History is full of examples of very young leaders some as young as days! The kingdom was ruled by advisors who allowed the young leaders to assume the throne when it was decided they were old and wise enough. There are also examples where young leaders got allies to assist and took the throne by force. So Kim Jung Un is not that young at all when compared to other young leaders.

He might be full of delusions of grandeur and a little insane but young? Not by a long shot.

North Korea is a weird hereditary dictatorship. If you look at history, you'll find there have been lots of kings who were crowned when they were very young.

He's ended up where he is by accident of birth and because his father had chronic health problems which meant he died at a relatively young age for someone who was wealthy enough to access the best healthcare in the world.

The only slightly surprising thing is that Kim Jong-un has been able to consolidate his grip on power at such a young age. He may look like a baby Pillsbury Doughboy, but the dude is ruthless and he slaughters anyone he thinks might be a threat.
