Is it normal i stare at my reflection

I just stare at my reflection for the longest time and sometimes talk to it like another person is there. If you stare at your reflection for long enough it starts to look weird and sometimes you get these weird psychic experiences where you see these alternate images of yourself and you can even see your own aura really easily this way. I have heard that you can see into the future this way if you clear your mind enough. Supposedly, you can see all sorts of images in the mirror of future events hundreds or even thousands of years in the future.

Disclaimer on this post: DO NOT EVER ATTEMPT TO TALK TO DEAD PEOPLE this way because or in any manner because I tried that once and some really weird stuff happened I don't want to talk about. Contacting the dead is risky business and it's even more risky using scrying. Scrying CAN get you possessed by spirits if you attempt to contact the dead or any other entity on the astral plane. A lot of times this leads to contact with a demonic spirit so don't do that or a demon could just crawl into your head through your crown chakra and take you over!

None of that has a scientific basis... I think you're just sort of hypnotizing yourself by staring at your own image for so long. You're not going to get possessed by a demon lol.

The staring in to the reflection until your reflection starts to look different happens, it's nothing supernatural, though.

I would say that your views of demons and future seeing is an issue here. You shouldn't be seeing your reflection, you should be seeing a doctor.

Just because you do not believe in psychic abilities that I happen to possess and think demons are merely something that exists in the imaginations of crazy people doesn't mean that I have a mental condition. Plenty of people believe all sorts of things and aren't mad. Even if I was mad, so what? If my madness is not bothering me or anyone else then why is it a problem? Not that I am mad in any way, I genuinely do have special abilities that many other people do not so that's why I have the beliefs I do because I have these abilities to tap into the forces and energies that many people ignore.

    No, you do not possess special abilities. If you really need to make yourself seem special through lies, then maybe you need those lies to feel like you have something to offer due to the absence of having something to offer.
    
    If you are happy to be stuck in a fantasy of your own illness, then that's fine and up to you.

        I am not really that special at all. In fact I am a very, very average person. I simply have worked on developing these abilities for a long time. I am not a higher being in the universe. You can devote yourself to developing psychic abilities as well. It can be a difficult and challenging quest and journey but it is well worth it in my opinion to awaken your psi abilities. You may enter your own inner worlds of unreality for a time and you may even have to go through a period of darkness and chaos in order to truly overcome the fears and stopping blocks to the abilities that we all have. However, the rewards for your struggles are well worth it especially if you have the attitude like I do which is that I will use the abilities that I gain and progress with to help out humanity as a whole.

I am relieved to know that you are well aware of the dangers of attempting contact with spirits of the deceased. I am sorry to say that you warnings/beliefs will pretty much fall on deaf ears. Believe me, I've tried. Both of us would probably better fair on an spirituality forum.

There's an old folktale, I think it may have been a Chinese one. It was about how mirrors used to be portals to another world/dimension that it had to be closed off for some reason.

Anyway, I would be a little concerned with other reflective surfaces, as apparently they can be used for scrying too.

  I agree. Any reflective surface has equal potential to open a door to the spirit world, it isn't about the surface, it's about what your thinking about and how you feel as you look into the reflective surface. One could scry using a metal bowl or a tv that's turned off. It doesn't make much difference, scrying is not a wise idea in my opinion because it can open doors to a dangerous place. The thing is people who have problems as a result of "spiritual" practices like this are simply thought of as "crazy" or "disturbed" and nobody thinks much about it. Seriously, all people on this forum must avoid scrying at all costs it is nasty, dangerous stuff. Honestly, I'd rather inject crack cocaine into my testicles on the daily than get into scrying. They can both fuck you up equally badly. Scrying will not advance you spiritually, it will either land you in a mental hospital or a coffin in the end because you will likely become possessed by satanic spirits and regardless of what these "satanists" say, demonic entities are scary business and no good things can come from them, they will only wreck you step by step and your life will fall apart like an egg hitting the floor and you will just lay there defeated by the evil spirits.

    Excellent comment. Very well said. I am not a narcissistic person, never have been, and never will be. In fact, I as a person am no different than you in terms of my intelligence, special abilities nor am I different than any of you in terms of being less than, stupider, or any other characteristic. In fact, I don't think any of us are really all that different from each other because all we really are is a script that we sometimes write ourselves but all too often people write our life script's for us and whether or not someone is smart, stupid, narcissitic, etc. really has to do with US as much as a collection of circumstances. However, if we can fully realize this we can actually be who WE are because with enough awareness such as I have, I am able to see that sometimes our circumstances and people around us try to write our scripts for us and if anyone on here finds anything I said offensive or crazy, then maybe they're letting cultural norms and others around them to write too much of their life script. I am not really superior or inferior to anybody, I'm just a person who chooses to write my own life scripts and follow my own path. Essentially, I never gone crazy like some people said that I have, I simply "freed my mind" from tradition, cultural norms, and the influences of others which although may appear "crazy" really isn't and I honestly think that very true people we consider crazy really are

OP, it's a mild dissociative event. I get them all the time. You can suddenly "disconnect" from the image of yourself in the mirror and feel like you're looking at a person outside yourself, a stranger almost. Apparently, some drugs have similar effects.
