Is it normal i see relationships this way?

I always hear people talking about relationships need to be fair and equal and you know the whole whats good for the goose is good for the gander ect...

I don't think relationships need to be equal though, I believe relationships need to give both parties what they want, even if one party wants dramatically more or less than the other, as long as they are both happy with it then I think that's good.

For example a girl can be free to date others but the guy is to be loyal only to her, or a woman could work and keep house while the guy does nothing, or any kind of uneven relationship.

As long as both parties understand the terms of the relationship, agree to it, and are happy with it, then I think its fine even if it's an uneven relationship.

Is my thinking this way normal?
