I always think my childhood friends and classmates are my life long rivals. They might be potential enemy as they know about me everything from date of birth to parents' address. Is that believe normal?
You have a point that may be accepted as a theory. But human beings are developed to live in a society and our brain is biologically and chemically developed to trust other humans and protect other's trust.
You may have a classmate or a person who knows you dice childhood who will try to harm you or your interests for his/her selfish desires but there are maximum chances that you will be able to prevent it.
Rivalry in a healthy way is good for your development.
