Is it normal i only feel physical anxiety?

Recently I've been really anxious/nervous/stressed out because my boyfriend is suicidal and depressed and I'm really worried about him. But I don't feel mentaly anxious, I just feel numb in my mind/brain. I know I have high anxiety because I've got loads of physical signs eg. muscle tension, cramps, headaches, nausea, chest tightness, shortness of breath etc. But I don't feel anything mentally, I don't cry even though I'm scared shitless that one day I'll get a phone call telling me he's dead. My feelings seem to have shut down. Is it normal to only get physical symptoms of anxiety?

Apathy and numbness tend to take over when your subconscious knows something is way too traumatic of you to handle. You need to get ur bf committed for observation if ur serious and he isn't just wanting attention. Tell his parents and they'll get him the help he needs. He might be really angry and feel betrayed, but at least he will be alive to regret it.
