Is it normal i notice people overuse the term curvy??

I see people who are on the larger size of a healthy weight or maybe 10-15 pounds overweight and they call themselves curvy, that to me is fine and normal. They may have a slight stomach but it's not as big as their boobs or bum which is fine by me BUT when I see a woman who is clearly obese and even MORBIDLY obese and they call themselves curvy, this confuses me unless they have the fat in all the right places but that's rare.

When someone is extremely overweight, they may have a big bum or boobs but their stomach is gigantic and it sticks way out there. Then their stomach has lots of rolls, their hands are fat, their fingers are huge and chunky, their arms are enormous and they usually have no visible chin...HOW IS THIS CURVY? Am I normal to think this is NOT curvy??

I agree, it seems these days we praise clearly obese women for being 'curvy' when they aren't.

I think the term portly is polite. Would "portly" offend a big boned girl?

I agree with you. Curvy is, well, curvy, and fat is round. They call fat girls "curvy", though, to spare their feelings which I see no point to. Fat is fat and I think fat girls need to accept that. From there decide what you want to do with that. You either lose some weight or accept the fact that you're fat, big, or whatever term you want to use. I tend to be annoyed by people who like to sugarcoat things.

I have a basic rule. If you don't curve at the hip line when you walk because your fat hangs over your hips, you're not frikkin curvey. You're only curvey if you can make out an hourglass figure, fat or skinny. Does nobody know what a curve is? I don't care if you're just a little thick, if there is no curve then there is no curve.

Most women don't have hour glass figures dude. That's like 20% of women because there are different shapes. hour glass means you have large boobs, tiny waist, big ass.

Curvey implies there is a slight hourglass figure. Most women who are actually shapely have a slight hourglass figure. Hence why I stated 'make out' an hourglass figure, not 'have' a full hourglass figure.

Theres fat and theres curvy. You can't be both. To me, curvy is Beyonce or Salma Hayak.
