Is it normal i never feel comfortable with just 1 account on websites

On every website I’ve used since first using the internet (many years ago) I’ve had to keep several different accounts because either I couldn’t contain my assholishness and didn’t want it to “taint” my “good” accounts, or I would use it to manipulate voting features in some cases where that was available. I have anywhere between 3 to 100 accounts on every site I’ve used.

Exactly, it’s like platonic catfishing at a certain point, tricking people that they have several friendly internet acquaintances and several trolls to battle when it’s all really the same troglodyte with 8 incognito tabs and a 2 litre bottle of Mountain Dew open.

  • You're deceiving others, but you still know what you do

I'm not gonna try to guess on your morality, especially not if you know how to switch personas, but your actions will still influence your mind just like if you were more natural

What I mean is, if you make an account to be hateful, you're training yourself to be hateful. Eventually it'll be what you want to do and it'll be hard to resist the urge all the time

Alternatively, you could go out of your way to be a positive influence and have the same mind training effect

Ive seen people log into different accounts to agree with themselves. Imagine the stupid shit the owner sees ppl doing. All your accounts are linked to your IP address. The owner knows all your accounts.

When I was like ten I would consistently embarrass myself on a forum I liked so I just kept starting over with new accounts. I don't remember how many I got to.

It probably goes without saying that I didn't form very many friendships on there lol

On every forum site I used over the years, there were people on it with multiple accounts messaging me and pretending to be different people. I found them pathetic.

I don't need more than one account. If I act like an asshole, people can tell me, and I can either apologize, or say I was in a mood, or whatever. No one is perfect all the time. It's a lot of pressure for a person to try to be perfect all the time, and sounds like a great way to never have any serenity whatsoever. We all have to face the face that we can't make everyone like us, and that we are all powerless over people, places and things.

Having a lot of accounts is a shitty, stupid way to exist.
