Is it normal i need to use the bathroom when i have anxiety?

I have bad anxiety disorder. I worry about everything. If i see something creepy looking, i worry about it. If i hear a weird noise, i worry about it. Basically, i just worry a lot. Whenever i worry i feel i need to take a shit. And when i do its usually really runny or mucousy. It usually helps after but sometimes after a while it comes back. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it normal i have this problem with the bathroom?

I think it's common, digestive and nervous systems are related. Maybe keep some anti diarrhea pills on you all the time

it sounds psychological in nature. I've experienced something like this, and I have had anxiety all my life, and even now when I try to relax and not worry about things so much, I still suffer from gastrointestinal issues, often with the appearance of mucus which causes gas, cramps, and bloating. For many years I thought it was IBS but my doctor never confirmed it. All I can say is that the relationship between mind and body is incredibly complex. Sometimes things that start off in your mind can have an effect on your body, and even when you try to change your mind and focus on positive thoughts, the previous physical effects can continue. I am quite sure this happened to me.

yeah. One morning a few years ago I crapped ~5 times because I had a big interview in the afternoon. All I can say is it gets better with time.
