When I was in HS smoking weed was my life, then I got drug indused physchosis, now my receptors are fucked so I can't get high. Now weeds getting legalized, you can smoke with those vaporizers, I should be part of it, but I missed out, it pisses me off.
Be glad that you didn't turn retarded. I don't care if weed is legal or not, i'd smoke it anyway if i wanted to. But after smoking for years i feel like it won't give me the nice highs it used to give when i was in my teens. (i'm 26 now). Also after getting several panic attacks and thinking i'll lose my mind, i'm just cautious.

You might want to check out Kratom though, it's not like weed but most likely legal in your state and a good alternative to alcohol+coffee. And it won't fuck up your health like alcohol.
Drugs are never a good idea, i don't recommend it. Weed is a gate way drug to to other worse things.
Yeah I know what you mean. I smoked bud when I was in HS too and as a young adult. I knew [wished] back then that some day you could buy it legally and even envisioned buying it at your local grocery on the scale.
Now my job tests for weed so no matter how legal it gets I can't even smoke a little.

When was this "golden age?" I go back to the late 1960's/ 1970's. In fact I was at the original Woodstock Music Festival. I even partook of the dreaded and infamous "brown acid". I remember "tripping" for three consecutive days. And it wasn't a "bad trip" as was said in those days. Weed went for $10-$15-$20 a "lid" ( a lid was considered to be 28 grams or an ounce or somewhere in that weight area. To me THAT was the golden age of weed. Haven't smoked any shit almost 20 years so I have no idea what an ounce of weed costs nowadays. But I would imagine the shit they grow nowadays is powerful enough to knock me on my ass with just one took. So consider yourself lucky that it's pointless for you to fuck with it anymore. Stay the fuck away from it. Might get you in trouble.
In those days, if you bought weed you got buds, leaves, stems, seeds etc so you had to smoke loads of it to get high. Thats because weed was usually imported and it was just entire plants chopped up and pressed into a block.
These days most weed is home grown and people only harvest the buds (flowers) so only a small amount is needed.
And these days an oz can cost anywhere from $200US to $500US, or approximately $10 a gram.
Thanks. And you are so right about the seeds and stems. I remember having to "clean" my weed of all that garbage by tilting it on a piece of cardboard and watch those seeds come rolling down. Cheech and Chong: "No stems and seeds that you don't need." Up to $5oo an oz, huh? I guess I won't be starting that old habit any time soon. I can just picture my wife's reaction when I tell her I just blew $500 on an oz. Yeah okay. Thanks much Dude. Must be some ass kicking shit for that kind of dough.

1/4lb used to cost $125-200 tops.
A dime bag $10 used to supply at least 10 fatties to maybe 15. A nickle bag $5 would give you at least 3 nice joints of the best weed or at least 5-7 of some good weed.
What kind of "weeds" are you into, the normal garden variety or do you prefer agricultural weeds?
