No matter what it is that I'm on, I always minimize my webpage whenever someone just busts in my room without knocking.

    My thumb is always resting near the alt key and my index finger on the tab key. I do this unconsciously.

    You value your privacy, and there's nothing wrong with that in and of itself. I grew up and spent a large portion of my life with a mother and sister who were constantly barging in on me without knocking, and it was beyond just annoying. I think your habit of minimizing windows is normal.
