Is it normal i'm uncomfortable about responding to comments

When anyone responds to one of my posts or comments I feel obligated to reply because it's rude to ignore people and I don't want to seem like a bitch/asshole. But I'm socially awkward. My comments on posts might be witty but I never have witty responses for other people. I tend to just respond generically, usually saying something dry that can barely satisfy their response to me. Sometimes I just freeze up and don't respond at all because I feel lame. I tend to ask questions in which I want answers, but then I don't know how to respond to those answers and I'll end up posting a plain reply or nothing at all.

    I just give 'em a thumbs up when that happens. Or you can just "lol"...many of us here are socially awkward and there's usually more chances to respond, although you might have to initiate. I often remember people who reply to me and reply to a comment of theirs later down the road when the words flow better.

    Yeah, i know what you mean, If I can plan a comment cool, but I just can't usually keep up with the wit of most of the users on this site haha
    It used to bother me now I'm comfortable with it

    Me too. I can relate with what you wrote, OP barring the witty part. There is also an assholes who replied to me with rude remarks so when that happened, I'm not awkward anymore and stand for myself until they apologized or stopped.

    OP this is the internet. You on INN are anonymous unless you personally give out information about yourself.

    Your problem is associating your screen name with your person. I'm female one screen name and male the next. I have 6 INN screen names due to comment karma. Be like me except...

    Have a main screen name but reply with your secondary. Try that see if it works.
