Is it normal that I just don't think I'm funny anymore? I used to post comments I thought were witty or at least cleaver but I guess the quality of the Original Posts has declined so I just stopped trying. I just seem to respond out of habit. Stupid posts just get my stupid comments. It seems like so many posts are from kids reaching puberty who have questions that their parents aught to be able to answer for them. Maybe I'm suffering burnout from this site?

    A stupid OP doesn't grab you by the fingers and force-type a stupid comment :P You can try as hard as you choose to try. It's okay to not want to try, but it's your own decision.

    The comments I've seen on IIN that have made me laugh the most have always been ones that aren't reliant on the OP. They're funny comments because they're funny. What I'm trying to say is: if you wanna be funny, practice being funny even if the OP isn't.

    aww another Summer break is upon us...... tis the silly season.

    I remembered the days when we expected an influx of trollish behaviour during the US summer break and during Christmas. PCs being the norm, kids were forced to get off the computer by their parents.

    Now with fucking smart phones and tablets the trollish season has turned into a 365 day event.

    Maybe the increase in volume of adolescent posts coincides with school letting out for summer. But it looks like most of those dumb posts are being 'reported'(deleted) for not following the guidelines. It would be great if there were a way to prevent them from showing up at all.
