Is it normal i'm best friends with my ex boyfriend? (see detalis below?)

We also still have feelings for eachother. We keep in touch and video chat. I only recently found out he still liked me, and this happened about half a year ago. We broke up because he moved to a different country, plus his ex wanted to kill me. Literally...
...It's a long story, this is the shortest I could make it. Don't ask. Haha.
Anyone else best friends with their ex? If so, why?

It is physically, mentally and emotionally impossible to remain friends with an ex. Feelings are still there. You cannot just wipe them clean.

I am sorry to hear of your situation. it sounds like you and he will have to put your
feelings aside for now. But see what the future holds?

Tommy the cat is on the prowl. Ohhhh! I am shivering in my boots.

Ok I don't want to sound like a hypocrit but here it goes. I don't believe you should remain 'friends' with your ex partners. The idea of remaining 'friends' is one which, maybe many would agree would be true but would deny it to themselves, is the idea that in the future maybe something may happen or of you don't find anyone else you can kind of get back together. For those who may reply to this post and say, no there is no underlying issue we are just 'friends' bla bla bla you know it's bullshit!

How can you be friends with someone you were attracted too and had sexual relations? The aswer is you can't, unless one of them is completely gay lol then the circumstance will change! Men and women are at some level sexually attracted to one another (this is applicable to homosexual couples too). My bf stays in touch with his ex girlfriends, I don't mind it that much now but I still don't approve! How would one feel if their partner turned around and said, 'oh hey baby I'm going to have lunch with my ex bf/bf'.... Catch my drift? It won't work. Now here is my contradiction. I stay 'friends' with my ex primarily because he lives in the stated and me in the Uk! Why is that different from my bf? Well, I will NEVER run into my ex walking down the street! Once You're in a relationship with someone you form a certain attachment with them which you carry it's you in pretty much everything relationship (Bowlbys theory of attachment). And also the saying, 'old flames are easy to get back'.

If you're single than I guess to a certain extent it's ok to be friends as you're not doing anything wrong, in a relationship and friends with ex's .... Neichhhhh good!

That's my perspective anyways. Hope that helps x
