Is it normal i'm annoyed by people focusing on biracials with white moms

And black fathers? It makes it seem like the reverse doesn't exist (black mother, white father) and neither does any other mixed (asian/white, hispanic/asian, black/hispanic, etc). Sob stories are always pulled up too. "Raised by a single white mother..."
It's like people are trying to painting these women as victims even though they willingly slept with men they weren't married to and obviously didn't want kids. This just bugs me as a mixed race person.

Definitely normal. It gets frustrating when peoples generalize, discriminate, or stereotype no matter what the issue.

This must be an American thing.

People don't say 'biracial' in the UK, and I don't think I've witnessed people focusing on one mix of parents (black mother, white father) more than any other.

You can thank our wonderful President for that. I think we have become more intolerant of "mixed" races because he ran on the notion that he was "black" when he clearly is mixed race with a white mother.

No matter what your race, embrace it! We are all mixed. My mother is from Italy and father Ireland..... talk about mixed races! We are white but you'd think we were mixed being around our table.... lol

If I could go back in time, I'd like to be a pretty young black women with intelligence. Then I could get scholarships galore and go to medical school for free. See, it works both ways......
