Is it normal i love to drink, but have trouble figuring out the brands?

Hahah sooooo alcohol is my friend and I seriously can count on it to feel good and have a good time. I dont smoke by the way, maybe occasionally but i prefer to drink. So anyways, I love drinking however, i dont know whats considered vodka, tequila, rum, etc. Is that bad or stupid? I just love alcohol in general so i dont think its necessary to know exactly the brands and name and everything. Of course, you have to know what youre drinking but thats not the case. Im just saying is there even a difference between all of them? To me, they all taste the same hahah i dont know if its just me or others have this in common where they dont know what it is but just consider it alcohol. Huhmmm...

    Ok... Well the darker the color of a drink (non-mixed) the more impurities it has... Vodka and Gin are the purest and will give u less of a hangover if drunk straight not mixed. Whisky, rum etc (brown colored) will have impurities that will give u hangovers. What color they are is dependent on the purification methods and what they are made of. Vodka is made of potatoes and purified a lot. Mainly the percentage of alcohol varies between 43 to 47 %. U can get the odd 75% Bacardi but that's good stuff. ( good flame shots)

    Well apparently, you're still wet behind the ears... People acquire preferences for certain types of alcohol not really because of the taste, per se, but because different kinds of alcohol feel different. They have a different buzz. Plus different people's biological make up varies. Just like one person may have an allergy to penicillan, while others don't. So, based upon experience you will learn over time what kind of alcohol you like the most based upon how it makes you feel, and you will learn what gives you a worse hangover, etc...

    Lol .. Just make sure you ask what it is your having, so next time you can ask for the same drink lol there are many types of alcohol brands. If you don't practice the names you can look stupid if your purchasing it.
