Is it normal i listen to music i can't stand before listening to music i like?

I do this so the music I like seems that much better, in comparison it sounds absolutely phenomenal. Like taking todays chart hits listening to all that auto tune then going back and listening to rolling stones, for example.

    I've never heard of this, but can see the appeal. It's sort of like eating something sweet and then alternating with something salty, to bring out the contrast.

    Yeah, I do this kind of stuff a lot, not all the time though. I really enjoy playing some weak pop tune and then BLASTING SLAAAAAAYYYYEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
