Is it normal i like to play guitar but i don't like being in bands

I've been playing guitar for almost 4 years and I've gotta say I'm getting really good at it, the problem is I've only been in one band in my whole life and people are always asking me why I don't play in a group or something. Truth is, I don't like playing in bands, I prefer practicing guitar just as a hobby and only to myself. Is this normal?

    Yes, it's normal. There's nothing wrong about doing something by yourself as a personal hobby. My guitar helps me relax and that's all I use it for. I'd rather not put on a performance for others. I'm no Mick Mars.

    Don't worry! It's good to go solo. You don.t have to agree with the other people, you just have freedom.

    I agree. Bands are cool and all, but you have to mix creative juices (:P) and your own creative energy is something that's so personal and unique than you might not want to. I really enjoy jamming with friends, but I don't think I'd like writing music with them.
