Is it normal i know i'm boring...

When I'm having a conversation, more times than not, the other person is yawning or looking like they are trying to stop a yawn. It really gets me down about myself.

I'm also quite sensible. For example if my friends are doing something a bit dangerous, I'm usually the one saying to be careful or whatever.

There are other reasons but it's mainly the yawning thing.

Is it normal to know/think you are boring?

How do you talk? Be more engaging, more animated with your facial expressions. Be assertive and get your point across.

    Use a storytelling voice! Ha!

    • My voice does tend to be a bit monotone and dreary sounding...

That could very well be the reason then.

Myself i can easily get tired of just listening to people, like everyone around me. Regardles of how interesting their story is.

I will sometimes get tired after a long dump. Have they just finished dumping?

Try being more into what youre talking about. If you dont seem excited about what youre talking about, how do you expect other people to be?

Try and have some fun... or don't try, just do what makes you happy, take some risks and then you'll be more interesting.

Speak with a tone of voice that isn't monotone. Tell a story, share your goals, make some statements, basically anything that captures your friend's attention.

Oh, and asking questions never hurt anyone.

    • It happens even when I'm telling an interesting story, they'll yawn almost immediately after I start telling it, then as the story gets better they don't seem as bored. It's just that they yawn straight away that bugs me. It's like before I've had a chance for whatever I'm saying to be good they yawn.
