Is it normal i judge people by what kind of phone they have

when i meet a person i look at what phone they have and if its smashed i dont like them to a degree and if its nice and in a case i like them even more than normal. ill still like people with broken phones ill just think of them as irresponsible and wont let them use my prized possessions

I can understand how you'd not want a person with a smashed phone to use your possessions (that's normal for conscientious people), but the rest - not so much. Like it or not, phones aren't holy possessions to everyone and has very little to do with their character.

What about those people who have children or a clumsy relative who dropped their phone and broke the screen, but they can't afford to change it right away? Or those people who are constantly loosing their phone, and buying a new one at least once every 2 or so months?

It would be best to ask people why their screen is damaged before making such judgement. Or you can simply keep your items to yourself until you get to know the person, regardless of how nice their phone is.

How do you judge people who appear to have no phone at all, or have a really old basic one in good condition?
I only own an ancient Nokia which doesn't have a camera or colour screen, but it rarely travels anywhere with me anyway. I'm interesteed what you'd think of me with or without my phone.
