Is it normal i have a dream to make a robot friend to talk to?

I want to learn engineering so I can make a robot friend. His key purpose is going to be to hang out and talk to me about various things. He is going to know stuff like philosophy, theory and other things that we can discuss with each other. If I program to want to talk about stuff he wont get mad or not understand me when I talk to him.

      Intellectual stimulation is more important than money. Besides I can just make money making him do stuff. Like doing peoples taxes for a small fee. Ill program accounting into him.

          No, of course not. The purpose is so I dont have to deal with normal people. Ill just talk to my robot.

    Talk about avoiding reality and human contact.
    Why bother, since you are the one programming the robot, it will only be a second you. Why not just carry a mirror around? It would be a lot easier and cheaper.
