Is it normal i hate the idea of going to the cinema for a first date

I've never experienced it but that common idea of going to the cinema where you can't even get to know the other person is disappointing for me. It's something I might as well do myself, because it's a loss of reality. I want to be fully occupied with someone (at least on a first date) with no need of a different world to dip into. I want to have a reason to be in the world that I am actually in.
It probably sounds lame but I don't value money that much either; rather, imagination. Just talking about the things we value e.g. music, literature, life whilst walking upon a beautiful landscape...
Also I don't like restaurants. I'd rather have an intimate meal at someone's cosy house.

I don't know how or why people go on dates.

Try going to a comedy club for a first date. With the comedians doing most of the talking, it relieves you of dealing with that awkward first date conversation. Just sit back, laugh and have fun. No pressure, and I can pretty much guaranty you she'll want to go out with you again, because your first date wasn't the same old boring shit.

A bit of a long walk, if one lives in Denver or Iowa.

              Boy that doesn't help.
If you are trying to communicate, you're doing a damn poor job of it.
