I hate talking on the phone! Whenever someone calls me (unless its my family or I know its urgent) I text them and tell them I cant talk right now. I just cant stand it...if you wanna just talk to me, why not just text me? lol thats just how I am. anyone else the same?
I hate it. There's something weird and unnatural about it. I hate when people call me. I'll usually try to avoid Picking up the phone, then I wait a few seconds after they rang. Then, I text them back. I've even done this with unknown numbers. The phone I had with a friend was very awkward. It took me by surprise and made me ver nervous. I had forgotten what my friend sounded like, which caused some shock. The whole time I basically kept saying "right" in a slight British accent.
When you text, you don't have to text right back. You wait awhile and think about what to say. But on The phone, you can't really do that. So, there are many awkward silences as a result. You also have to worry about how your voice sounds via phone:/
yeah its normal...sort of. I hate talking on the phone also but texting is so unpersonal. I tell people that if they really want to have a long convo with me they should come see me in person. If you just want to say something quick calling/texting is fine but i refuse to have long convos on any electronic device.
I am so awkward on the phone. I don't text though, so you're on your own.
